"I recently became an advocate for those who are living the debilitating life of poverty they never imagined they’d live.  In simplest of terms,  no one should have to experience poverty. When we look around our small island of Barbados, there are too many persons living in unimaginable states of dilapidated conditions. Needless to say, there is only so much a Government can do if housing for the displaced individual is a part of their agenda.  The world is filled with a richness of life that should be experienced by all.

I may not be able to help the thousands all at once, but, for each one assisted, that’s a thousand less one suffering until we can reach 0 with the help all all those who can assist.

If we feel  ‘the duty to care’, let’s not wait on a government to assist or provide a fellow human being the benefit of a roof and foundation to call home, because many of them have been waiting a lifetime.    That's why Roslyn needs our help.

It is my hope that through these charitable works, we can reach out to assist any poverty stricken man, woman or child, whilst bringing comfort, love and shelter."

I'm so proud of the fact that Barbados is not just part of who I am  - it is who I am.

I may not have grown up in Christ Church but my family did.  I love being here.  Since I've been coming to Barbados I've come to know a little more about it each year.  And one thing I know; there's a lot to be proud about in this Island.

But I also know there's a lot to be done for the people of Barbados.  Through this Organisation I hope to do just that.    In 2016, standing on Cherry Tree Hill and looking across to the west & east, I decided that I wanted to try and make a difference.

I remember my spirit being invigourated then when I thought about the impact on the People of Barbados if Tourism suffered a huge blow.  Here we are today in 2021 facing some of the most difficult times of our lives.  My immediate challenge is to find ways to assist with housing issues.  That's why Roslyn has grabbed my heart.  No one should have to live in the conditions she finds herself in.  I'm quite certain there are many more like her.  I'm equally aware that for most people in Barbados life has become a matter of survival.

Somehow that's got to change.  I want to make an impact.
